Item - Easy Chair Description - First introduced in 1958, this iconic easy chair was designed by Poul Kjaerholm and manufactured c.1961 by E. Kold Christiansen. Titled "PK22" this simple and elegant form has become a favorite among collectors and makes for a solid investment piece. This chair was purchased in 1961 in Chicago. It bares the Kjaerholm EKC cypher to the brushed steel frame and is adorned in its original cognac leather cover. The leather is of very high quality and cleans easily. All eight hex-head screws are present. Original cover, jute webbing, cording, buttons, and padding. This chair is 100% original and unfooled-around-with! See pictures. Measures 24.75" wide, 26" deep, 28" high with a 14" seat height. We've left this chair in as found condition meaning we didn't polish the frame or remove the light surface rust. The buyer will have the option of having the frame polished (with professional grade metal polish). The very light rust will disapear and the frame will sparkle like new! Condition - Very good vintage condition. Leather has some pin-prick like abrasions to the seat and a 2" scratch to lower back as pictured. The leather at the front lower left corner of the chair has some wear to the point where there is a tiny 2mm hole (also pictured). The underside of the leather cover has a 1" hole as pictured. We were told this hole was always there...even when purchased. The frame legs each have very light rust that can be polished off. No gouges, deep scratches, pitting or otherwise exists to the frame.
