Description - This original Hans Wegner design dates to 1953 and was produced by Getama. Know simply as "GE 290", this series was available in oak and teak with teak being discontinued in the mid 1960s. This line has enjoyed a revival and is now produced in oak and beech.

Presented here is Hans Wegner's famous design in elusive teak construction. Teak was intended for use in the home while oak was used widely in institutions, offices, etc. making this a fairly rare and hard to come by piece.

A very sturdy piece of furniture with solid construction, attention to detail, and clean lines, this chair sacrifices nothing in purpose nor at the expense of comfort.

Measures 30" wide, 32" long, 25.5" tall, with a 11" seat height. Marked "Getama, Gedsted, Denmark, Design, Hans J. Wegner"
