Item: Dining Chair

Designer: Arne Vodder for P. Vamo Møbelfabrik - c. ????

Measurements: 19" wide, 21" deep, with a 17" high seat

Construction Notes: Through and through these chairs are quality pieces of furniture. Solid teak construction, webbed seats (not sheets of plywood), and swiveling backs allow for maximum comfort and support. This design is a work of art.

Each chair is marked to the seat frame, "P. Vamo Møbelfabrik"

The arm chair versions are slightly wider in the seats and backs. Early version's seats & backs came in cane with fabric coming later. Though imported by George Tanier, most of these sets that we've uncovered were brought directly from Denmark by families.

Item: Teak Credenza, Model OS 63

These credenzas are probably the most common cabinets by Arne Vodder and can be found throughout the US. Many US companies imported these pieces during the height of the Danish Modern movement. Manufactured from 1958 probably up through the early 80s. Quite desirable for their sophisticated design, outstanding quality, and sculptural drawer fronts.
